Developments in global financial markets in recent years have brought about significant changes in the field of asset management. The fact that long-term investment returns have fallen short of expectations has greatly increased the need for and interest in alternative asset management.

In addition to stock and exchange-traded funds, investors' demand for alternative investment funds, known as venture capital investment funds (VCIF) and real estate investment funds (REIF), has also increased as a result of their search for long-term and alternative returns.

However, the fact that VCIFs and REIFs are investment instruments that are mostly accessible to institutional investors, the need for individual qualified investors to reach the asset management companies that are the founders of these funds one by one, and the repetitive paperwork burden that the process brings, constitute a major obstacle to the spread of these investment instruments to the base. This situation causes the restriction of long-term resources that can be transferred to the real estate sector and the entrepreneurial ecosystem, which are the cornerstones of our country's economy.

 

At Fonmap, we set out to democratize investment in alternative investment funds by removing access barriers for individual investors. We believe that the ease of access and liquidity that Fonmap will provide to alternative investment funds will bring a brand new breath and understanding to capital markets.
